Generation X as they call it, is a person born between 1965 and 1980

It has been said that Gen X just might be the last and best hope. Caught between vast, self-regarding waves of boomers and millennials, Generation X is steeped in irony, detachment, and a sense of dread. One of their rank argues that this attitude makes it the best suited to preserve American tradition in these dark new days –Vanity Fair.  Here at the Gen X Blog I will be doing just that ,focusing on teaching the ways that used to be. While talking about  more than one or two things. The Gen X Blog is a way for me to help people that want to learn just about anything.

about the gen x blog

With this blog I want to teach someone how to cook  or even how to grow your very own garden whether it be vegetables or butterfly’s or flowers !

I’ve faced a multitude of hurdles in my time and a lot of grief and anxiety. But the one thing that I have found that keeps me centered is my love of learning.

Learning new skills that can actually save your life is my passion.

Heck, I’m the only Grandma I know that can start a fire out of virtually nothing !

And I don’t mean with a lighter or matches !

I love growing a garden and finding different ways and skills I can use to further enrich my life.

Here you too can do some pretty amazing things.

The journey so far is fascinating to say the least, join me, this is going to be one hell of a ride !

Gardening is not just growing your own food , but it’s also a Hugh stress reliever ! You can start learning here

Learning how to become self reliant is a beautiful process.

Preparing for my future and those around me also comes natural to me.

I was in the Medical field for just over 20 years and took care of multitudes of people, young and old.

But now it’s time to get back to the basics and the things I love and the things I want to discover.

Like I didn’t even know that I could start a fire with next to nothing. Or cook on an open fire. Or start my own business ! Until I tried !

The Gen X Blog

My Generation has come into it’s own now and I want to be there to help you.

This is the place where you can learn how to start that fire with next to nothing, or learn how to cultivate your very own beautiful and peaceful Serenity Garden, or cook on an open fire.  And talk about saving Water… you can learn more here

The Possibility’s are endless !

You can learn how to cook maybe even just cook something new, the possibilities are endless. Hey, how about learning to use a solar oven ?

Here you will be able to grow and learn with new found skills that one day could save your life.

You can go to my recipe for the Beef Bone Broth here and from there I have added more recipes.

I like to make meals that have more than one use. For instance, with my beef bone broth recipe, I also made a roast beef in my crock pot and instead of water, yep, you guessed it, I added the beef bone broth !

But that’s not all, I took half of the beef out and saved it for another meal. And with the remaining beef still in the crock pot, I poured in the second jar of the beef bone broth I had made and added noodles to it, making beef and noodles !

And I have the other half of the roast beef for a completely different meal ! I do this all the time because I like to save money and who doesn’t like to save time and money, am I right ?

Hell yeah, I’m right !

Never stop learning and trying new things !  It’s so great to have you here , thanks for stopping by to my little corner of the web and go ahead and leave a comment !

Have a great day ! Don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter for more in depth information ! You know you want to !!!
